Minetec Communications are a team of dedicated communications personnel who carry out design, installation and commissioning of communication networks. Networks covered are conventional UHF, VHF, HF, Leaky Feeder, Fibre Optic, GPS, IT, Video, Sensor, Trunking, Mine Dispatching, Vehicle Monitoring and Satellite communications. Video Monitoring & Recording
Above or below ground (via Leaky Feeder networks) monitoring systems can be designed and installed utilising normal or low light camera technology. Pan, tilt and zoom functions can be remotely controlled. Wireless solar power battery units can be designed to suit and mounted on trailers with large adjustable poles for remote surveillance of critical areas. If fibre optic cable or even twisted pair telephone cable exists nearby, that can be utilised but is not essential as the signals can be sent via radio.
Advanced software allows multiple site monitoring at a glance via authorised windows based computers and can be linked back into your intranet and can be viewed over the internet. Recording systems can be linked in so that, for instance, movement only is recorded at a explosives store. In camera infra-red LED technology allows night time surveillance in low light situations. Productivity and security improvements in monitoring underground stope pours or mine choke points at a glance can be enormous.

Voice & Data Recording
Minetec Communications has developed multichannel radio voice recording systems.
It can be a dedicated stand-alone recording system that records transmissions on two-way radio frequencies so they can be monitored to address any safety issues that may arise. Data is backed up to DVD or CD, usually monthly, with the press of a single button; user guidance is by voice prompts. If the unit is connected to a network, and where access has been granted, the files can be monitored from anywhere on the network or remote locations.
Having a factual record of "who said what to whom, when" can be critical at times and be worth $10's of thousands of dollars or more when it comes to liability claims - can you afford not to have one?
Leaky Feeder Networks
Minetec Communications design, install, maintain, repair and supply parts and equipment for underground networks using the latest technology. Utilising multi-couplers we can extend the system to include above ground extensions to form one harmonious network. Video, blast, man down and tagging systems can all be incorporated. Additionally we can provide highly efficient and cost effective CAB cable hanging systems. A lot of money is spent with little thought on system extensions, we can provide plans and bulk purchasing methods that reduce these costs significantly.
Security Camera Systems
Minetec Communications can design, supply install, maintain, repair and supply parts, viewing software and equipment for closed circuit security camera systems for buildings and/or (see Video Monitoring & Recording on this page) mine sites. Rules based recording systems can be included.
